BUILDING SYSTEMS MAGAZINE CLOSES IT’S DOORS

One of the premier magazines for our industry has ceased publication.  Below is the letter from their website explaining the reasons for its demise.   We will miss having Charles Bevier being our champion and wish him well with his new role in our industry.

BSM

As we are all aware, the current housing market has been challenging, to say the least. The publishing industry is in the midst of one of its toughest years in history as well, so here at Home Buyer Publications, we are feeling it on both fronts. After a very careful review and exploration of all channels, we have decided to suspend publication of Building Systems Magazine. This was a very difficult decision for us to make, since we believe that systems built housing and its inherent “greenness” is the future of the industry. The recently released issue, Building Systems Green Building Guide, will be its last for the foreseeable future.

Though the current advertising climate could not support Building Systems Magazine, it was widely respected by the industry and its readership base of builders. Our esteemed Editor and S.A. Walters Award Winner Charles Bevier has been an icon of the industry and a true voice and advocate for systems built housing across the country. We can not thank him enough for his tireless dedication to this magazine and this industry. We wish him great success with the start-up of his new company, Bevier Creative, which is offering website design, search engine optimization and communications, including advertising, marketing and public relations. (Email charlesbevier@yahoo.com for more information.)
We are currently exploring other options to educate conventional builders on the vast benefits of systems built housing. We believe in this market and know that we are soon to recover from this downturn. Thank you for all of your support over the many years and please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Sincerely yours,
